Automatic search for tape position

(Index search)

Atthe beginning of each recording, the video recorder marks

the tape with a index code mark.

m Press the I indexN I button. Then press the |N> I button

to select the next code mark or the l<H I button for the

previous code mark.

[2] When the video recorder finds the code mark or a blank

space it will automatically switch to playback.

You can only search for a blank space with recordings

made on a video recorder that does not have this index

code mark function.

Eliminating picture interference

When the picture quality is poor, please proceed as follows:

Tracking during playback

m During playback, press the I menui button.

m Selectthe line 'PLAY FUNCTIONS'with the menu buttons

I PI lor I Pt land confirm with the !->- I button.

m Selectthe line 'MANUALTRACKING'with the menu

buttons I PI lor I Pt I.

m Hold the menu buttons I-*- lor ]-*• I until the playback

quality is at its best.

in Confirm with the rokl button.

Tracking during still picture

If the still picture vibrates vertically, you can improve the still

picture as follows:

m During still picture, press the IMENUl button.

m Selectthe line 'PLAY FUNCTIONS' with the menu buttons

I PI lor I Pt land confirm with the |->- I button.

rn Selectthe line 'VERTICAL STABILITY' with the menu

buttons I PI lor I Pt I.

m Hold the menu buttons I-*- lor I-» I until the picture

quality is at its best.

fsl Confirm with the [oR] button.

m To end, press the ImenuI button.

Cleaning the video heads

m During playback, press the ImenuI button.

m Selectthe line 'PLAY FUNCTIONS'with the menu buttons

m Selectthe line 'HEAD CLEANING' with the menu buttons

[4] Pressthe [okIbutton.'HEAD CLEANING IN PROGRESS'

appears on the screen.

[si Wait a few seconds, until the message disappears and

then pressthe Imenuibutton.

HI To end, press the IMENUI button. This setting will remain

until you remove the cassette.
