5. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS

Child lock

m With the video recorder switched on, press the

I CHILD LOCK<>^ button on the remote control for a few

seconds until 'cp* ' appears in the video recorder display.

Keep the remote control in a safe place.

m If you want to switch off the child lock, press the

I CHILD LOCKo^ button again for a few seconds until 'o-"'

disappears from the video recorder display.

If a button is pressed with activated child lock, 'cr"'

flashes in the display for a few seconds. .

Programmed recordings are made despite activated

child lock and cannot be interrupted.

You can also switch the child lock on and off with the menu

button I-» llnthe menu 'SPECIALSETTINGS',

in line'CHILD LOCK'.

Setting the On Screen Display (OSD)

You can switch the On Screen Display of the current operating

information on or off.

Ill Switch on the TV set. If required, select the programme

number forthe video recorder.

HI Press the IMENUI button. The main menu appears.

FT] Selectthe line 'SPECIAL SETTINGS'with the menu

buttons I PI lor I Pt land confirm with the I-» I button.

fsl Select one of the options indicated with the menu

buttons I-» lor I■*- I.

'AUTO.': OSD appears for a few seconds each time an

operating mode is selected and then disappears.

'OFF': OSD is switched off.

'ON': OSD is switched on.

Confirm with the [oK] button.

m To end, pressthe Imenui button.

With the [ok] button you can superimpose the On Screen

Display of current operating mode on the TV screen.

How to switch to 16:9

You can only use this function, when the video recorder

(socket I AVI EXTil) and the TV set are connected with a scart

cable.

Ill Switch on the TV set. If required, selectthe programme

numberforthe video recorder.

HI Pressthe ImenuIbutton.The main menu appears.

Switching the remote control command

if you have two video recorders with the same remote control

command, you can change the remote control command of

the handset and the remote control command of one of the

video recorders.

m Switch on the TV set. If required, selectthe programme

numberforthe video recorder.

m Press the I menu! button. The main menu appears.
